Gene Gold
Inspired by his World War II experiences, CWC member, Gene Gold, has written a fictional American historical novel titled “The Luger”.

The story spans the period two weeks before Pearl
Harbor up to modern times. Featured are many famous and infamous characters, the likes of Eleanor Roosevelt, Lana Turner, Timothy McVeigh and Jackie Robinson. And, yes, you will also find heavy does of romance
too.  He hopes to convert it into a screen play.

As a teenager, Gene was a front-line infantryman for several months in General George Patton’s Third Army in Europe.  He is a graduate of UCLA and holds a Master’s degree from CSUN.

He suffers from an incurable disease called CSPM known as Compulsive Spontaneous Pun Making.  His writing also includes children’s fiction, humor and limericks. In 1980, Gene was the author of a nationally-distributed board game called “Charge It” A new electronic version is currently being designed.

As a public service, Gene and a partner are developing a financial web site which will enhance consumer’s knowledge when purchasing a financial product (car, residence, etc.).  To make this potentially-boring material more interesting, he is sprinkling the various subjects with limericks and financial one-liners such as ”Money Is the Loot of All Evil”.

In real life, Gene is a Registered Representative with the Natural Association of Securities Dealers.
