David Burr
Born and raised in a small town in Northern California, on the eastern side of the Sierras, David graduated from high school in 1965, having spent most of his class time studying math and science, and his spare time reading and acting in school plays. College years were at U. C. Davis, at the height of “The Sixties”. He originally majored in Physics and eventually graduated with a degree in Psychology, all the while pursuing his interest in acting.
After school, acting was shelved and he had a long career in computer technical support. Thus, most of his writing experience to date has consisted of technical articles and documents, very few of which have ever been published outside of work.
About fourteen years ago, after going through a divorce, he immediately enrolled in an acting class and has been pursing that creative outlet ever since, mostly on stage. A couple of years ago, one of his coaches suggested that he experiment with another creative outlet: writing. He wrote a few things for her, and she is now convinced that he is, and needs to be, a writer. He’s hoping that joining CWC will help him make that decision for himself.
